2 Dec - Dwayne Johnson is elated to hear that many mistook his physique for the live-action version of "Moana" to be of his own making.

The actor, whose photos as the demigod Maui from the set of the upcoming movie went viral recently, stated that he actually wore a bodysuit to make his physique look more realistic to the character.

"That's a suit that took a long time to put on. So, I'm so happy you said, 'You bulked up,' because when you say, 'You bulked up,' that means you couldn't tell," he said.

He also added that it actually took "a couple of hours every day of transforming to become Maui.

Speaking about the photos that were taken by the paparazzi, he said, "We shot outside and when those pictures surfaced, I was like, 'Shit, we got caught,' cause we were putting up, like, walls so there was no paparazzi. But they got into boats and started shooting pictures."

The actor is reprising the character he voiced in "Moana" and the recently premiered sequel "Moana 2" for the live-action film that also stars newcomer Catherine Laga'aia in the titular character originally voiced by Auli'i Cravalho.

Meanwhile, Auli'i Cravalho recently made her Moana comeback to voicing the character for the animated sequel.
