16 Apr – Geena Davis recently confirmed that she is not in the sequel of her hit movie, "Beetlejuice". The actress, who plays one of the leads in the 1988 movie told Entertainment Tonight recently that she has her own theory as to why neither she nor Alec Baldwin who plays her husband in the original are not in "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice".
"My theory is that ghosts don't age ... Not that I have," she said jokingly. "Our characters were stuck the way they looked when they died forever, so it's been a while, it's been a minute."
In the original, Davis and Baldwin played the two ghosts Barbara and Adam Maitland, the original owners of the house of which the Deetz's family moved into following their deaths. Davis also admitted that she hasn't watched the trailer, though she has heard that some people cried watching it. The upcoming movie sees the return of most of the original characters including Michael Keaton as the titular character, as well as Catherine O'Hara and Winona Ryder as Delia and Lydia Deetz. They are also joined by Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe. The movie is scheduled for 6 September release.
