2 Aug - Jonathan Majors recently admitted that he was heartbroken after finding out that he will not be the ultimate villain in the fifth Avenger movie.

The actor, who has played Kang the Conqueror in several Marvel projects with the plan of him being the one to defeat in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", was dropped by Marvel back in December after being found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of harassment and assault against an ex-girlfriend.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the fifth "Avenger" movie has been retitled, "Avengers: Doomsday" and will have Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU, not as Iron Man but as the supervillain Doctor Victor von Doom.

When asked about the changes, Majors told TMZ that he did feel a little sad over the new direction, though added, "Doctor Doom is wicked, though."

When mentioned that RDJ also had his own run-ins with the law in 1996 for his drugs problem but was able to bounce back, Majors responded, "I think it's fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love ... and [he's] being allowed to work [his] art and be creative at that level. I didn't really get that."

However, he is not closing the door on playing Kang again, saying that he would definitely do so if the fans and Marvel Studios say yes to such a project.
