Box office blitz as "Kahar: Kapla High Council" hits RM 3 million in 3 days!

From TV to triumph on the big screens

2 Dec - The most anticipated film of 2024, "Kahar: Kapla High Council" has managed to earn RM 1 million in its early screenings and first day, and the number now stands at RM 3 million after 3 days of screening.

The character of Kahar played by Amir Ahnaf, along with actors Aedy Ashraf, Sky Iskandar, Fadhli Masoot, Fazziq Muqris, Khenobu, Thompson, Husyairi Hussain and Hasnul Rahmat, have received praises from the audience for their success in 'bringing life' to the characters on the silver screen.

The film, which is the prequel to the hit TV series, "Project: High Council", is currently at number one on the GSC Top 10 chart, beating out international films.

Directed by Razaisyam Rashid based on the script by creator Anwari Ashraf along with several other writers, "Kahar: Kapla High Council" had an early screening on 27 November.

According to the Executive Producer and Head of Astro Shaw, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, "Alhamdulillah, thank you to all the viewers who have watched the film 'Kahar: Kapla High Council' in cinemas. Kahar's character once again managed to steal audience's attention and for us Kahar is not just a character, but a symbol of the anti-violence message. We hope that this good start can bring continuous positive momentum and create extraordinary success."

"Kahar: Kapla High Council" tells the story of Kahar, a Form 4 student at Kolej Ungku Deramat (KUDRAT) boarding school. A quiet and often withdrawn person, he often feels pressured because his father, Dato Abu Yamin, places such high expectations on him. The situation escalates when Kahar accidentally gets involved in the election of the unofficial leader of the entire student body. Kahar's victory makes him complacent with his position.

The cast was on the "Kahar: Kapla High Council" roadshow on 29, 30 November & 1 December in Kedah, Penang, Perak. However, fans can still get the opportunity to meet them on 6, 7 & 8 December in Negeri Sembilan, Johor Melaka; 13, 14 & 15 December in Terengganu, Pahang.
