It's been an almost 3-decade wait for the sequel to 1996's "Indian"

8 Apr – It has been confirmed. Kamal Haasan's upcoming highly-anticipated movie, "Indian 2" will be released in June.

The news was shared by Lyca Productions via social media with a poster of the movie that has the actor's character Senapathy standing tall with his two hands cuffed behind his back.

The words "Releasing in June 2024" and the tagline "Zero Tolerance" can be seen near his image.

"Gear up for the comeback of Senapathy!" the post read, "INDIAN-2 🇮🇳 is all set to storm in cinemas this JUNE. Mark your calendar for the epic saga!"

Produced by Lyca Productions, the upcoming movie is the sequel to director S Shankar and Kamal Haasan's iconic 1996 film of the same name. The sequel has been in the making for years, having had to halt several times due to some events including the COVID-19 pandemic and a fatal crane accident that killed four.

Other cast members include SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh.
