23 Sep - Following the success of "Heeramandi", Netflix is working alongside another Bollywood director for an upcoming series.

India Today reported that Karan Johar, known for hit movies like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", will be helming an untitled series for the streaming service, which will commence production in early 2025.

A source stated, "The web series now begins its casting stage and the idea is to bring together an ensemble of renowned actors. Being a Karan Johar show, the web series is considered to be Netflix's most ambitious upcoming project. It will be shot throughout 2025 and is set to stream in 2026."

Karan's most recent work as a producer is the Alia Bhatt-starrer, "Jigra", which will be released on 11 October.

His last directorial effort was the 2023 film, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani", also starring Alia Bhatt and actor Ranveer Singh.
