Madonna to restart her biopic after previous cancellation

18 Jul - Is there going to be a Madonna biopic or not? According to the pop royalty herself, that may be a yes.

On 16 July, the singer shared several photos of herself working on a script using a typewriter, writing, "I Need A-lot of Bandz to make this......... Okay. (Story of my life)."

In one of the pictures that she posted, the title of her 1987 song and film of the same name, "Who's That Girl" can be seen on the first page.

On another page, it read, "rewrites by Madonna and ECW", which are the initials of Erin Cressida Wilson, American playwright and screenwriter who replaced Diablo Cody as the writer of the original biopic.

Source claimed that the biopic is set to begin filming "in the next 12 months."

It was revealed that the project, which had Julia Garner as the frontrunner to play Madonna, was shut down in early 2023 after the 65-year-old singer decided to embark on a world tour.
