9 Jan – Margot Robbie recently revealed that she has not talked to Lady Gaga yet about the singer's upcoming movie "Joker: Folie à Deux", in which she will play Robbie's iconic DC character, Harley Quinn. The "Barbie" actress, who spoke to the media at the red carpet at the Golden Globes in the pink recreation of Superstar Barbie outfit from the '70s, stated that she believes Lady Gaga will do extremely well playing the character. "She's going to crush it! She's going to be amazing," Robbie said. "I actually haven't spoken to her about it. I almost don't want to know so I can save it for a surprise when I see the movie."
In a previous interview, the actress said that she is excited that another actress is going to play the role. "I always wanted Harley to be a character that would get passed on to other actresses to play, the way there are so many iconic male characters. That was always the dream for her. Harley's so fun and can go in so many different directions. You put her in someone else's hands, and it's like, 'What are they going to do with her?' The options are endless," she said. On the other hand, Robbie, who was nominated in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her performance in "Barbie", lost to Emma Stone, who excelled in "Poor Things".
