24 May - Maya Karin recently revealed that she really took it seriously to ensure the perfect tango dance performance in "The Experts" despite the scene lasting only five minutes in the movie.

The actress, who plays the antagonistic Miranda in the new movie, stated that it was one of the most challenging scenes she had to do in the movie, in which she and Remy Ishak had to dance together.

Revealing that it took them six weeks of training, Maya said, "I was surprised to see Remy's talent, and I was amazed by the chemistry that we created. I really love the scene even though it was a short one."

The actress also said that the tango scene took two days of filming to complete, and needed six cameras in order to get the best shots.

When mentioned she had also danced with Redza Minhat in her previous movie, "Pisau Cukur", Maya said that the dance this time is much harder.

"I had to attend dance classes three to four times a week and memorise the choreography that would sometimes be changed in the last minutes," she added.

The movie, starring Aaron Aziz, Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana and Ray Dapdap among others, is now shown in 172 cinemas throughout Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei beginning 23 May. It tells the story of a family of five siblings who have long given up robbery, but reunited after being threatened by the most dangerous gangster to do another big, high-risk heist.
