"Memoir Seorang Guru" adaptation to be released 30 May


"Memoir Seorang Guru" portrays the challenges of our educators
13 May - "Memoir Seorang Guru", the book which was written by the late renowned writer Azizi Abdullah, is now adapted to the big screen.

The movie, produced by Tanah Merah Ventures and Kamalariff Holdings, will not only revolve around the relationship between a teacher and his students, but also enriched with positive messages.

Said producer Datuk Arisz Abd Rahman, Azizi was also a former teacher, and that the fact has truly influenced the stories in the book.

Starring Rosyam Nor in the lead and directed by Kyoll Hamzah, the movie revolves around a city-born teacher, Cikgu Sunan, who is transferred to a rural school, where he is tasked to manage the class with the lowest rate of achievement.

"The movie also receives cooperation from the Yayasan Guru Malaysia Berhad (YGMB). So far, YGMB has a membership of hundreds of thousands of teachers who we have seen are able to play a role in helping to promote this film to schools," he said.

"Memoir Seorang Guru" will be released nationwide on 30 May.
