15 Aug - Miley Cyrus recently became the youngest ever star to be honoured with the status as a Disney legend.

The singer, who became world famous after playing the lead in the hit Disney show, "Hannah Montana", expressed her happiness over the recognition, posting online, "Thank you. Such an honour to be inducted as a Disney Legend. This award is dedicated to Hannah Montana and all of her fans."

"You've shown me legendary love & loyalty. Forever grateful," she added.

In her speech, Miley stated that she is still Hannah Montana at heart.

Aside from Miley, Disney named 13 other artistes as their legends, which they described as having a significant impact on Disney's legacy. This includes director James Cameron, across Harrison Ford and Angela Bassett, as well as film composer John Williams.

The Disney Legends were inducted into the company's version of the hall of fame in a ceremony on 11 August at The Honda Center in Anaheim, California, as a part of the D23 fan convention.
