27 Feb – "Money No Enough 3" has made its own history after collecting more than RM 13.86 million after almost two weeks of screening in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration. In a statement released to the media, its distributor Mega Films Distribution said that the film, directed by the great Jack Neo, also became the most successful film in Singapore post pandemic, and now it has set the record for the most successful Chinese New Year film in Malaysia after it was first screened on 10 February.
Director Jack Neo said that he is grateful to all the cinemagoers and fans of the film who have followed the journey together since 1998.
In fact, he is also grateful to all the parents who brought their children to watch the film that teaches a lesson about family, money, and friendship. "Money No Enough 3 is not just a Chinese New Year movie. This film shares a memory of friendship, family that has been established for a long time. I will continue to work hard to produce better quality and successful films," Jack continued. The film, produced by Hijack PictureS and MM2 Entertainment, highlights the life story of three best friends from childhood: Ah Fai, Ah Qiang and Ah Huang (played by Mark Lee, Henry Thia and Jack himself) who are faced with a relationship crisis due to their financial issues.
