7 Feb – The Jurassic World franchise seems to have found the director for its upcoming new movie to be produced by Steven Spielberg.

Filmmaker David Leitch, known for films like "Bullet Train" and "Deadpool 2", was revealed to be in talks to helm the project, which is tentatively scheduled for a 2 July 2025 release.

Last month, it was reported that an upcoming "Jurassic World" film will be penned by David Koepp, the same person who wrote the 1993 "Jurassic Park" and its 1997 sequel.

The said project reportedly will launch a new era, suggesting that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who were a part of the 2015 Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World films will not be involved.

Leitch's upcoming project is the Ryan Gosling-starrer "The Fall Guy", which is currently in postproduction.

"Jurassic World: Dominion" was released in 2022
