10 June - "Bridgerton" star Nicola Coughlan is set to star in a movie adaptation of Enid Blyton's "The Magic Faraway Tree".

The Irish actress' involvement was announced by production companies Neal Street Productions, Elysian Film Group and Ashland Hill Media, following the revelation that Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy will be joining the project.

Aside from Coughlan, the film also stars Jessica Gunning, who found a new global fame after starring in the Netflix stalker-themed series, "Baby Reindeer".

The movie follows Tim and Poly (played by Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy), who, alongside their three children, find themselves forced to relocate to a remote English countryside, where the three children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric occupants.

Coughlan will play the woodland fairy Silky, who transports visitors to the fantastical far-off lands.

Coughlan is most known for her performance as Penelope Featherington in the Netflix Regency-inspired series, as well as Clare from the Irish comedy series, "Derry Girls".
