9 Oct - Excited new father Ranveer Singh recently declared "Singham Again" to be his newborn daughter's first film ever.

The actor, who appeared at the press conference of the new trailer for the movie, told everybody in attendance that the film has a star-studded cast, and that includes his baby.

"I'll also tell you that this is my baby's debut, Baby Simba, because Deepika was pregnant during the shooting. So on behalf of Lady Singham, Simba, and Baby Simba, I wish you all a Happy Diwali in advance," he enthused.

Simba in this case, refers to his character's nickname in the movie.

He also happily shouted, "It's a girl!", earning a huge cheer from the fans.

Cop thriller "Singham Again" is set for Deepavali release

Meanwhile, wife Deepika Padukone, who is also a part of the film, was unable to attend due to being in confinement.

The couple welcomed their first daughter on 8 September.

"Singham Again", set for release on 1 November, sees Ajay Devgn reprising his role as the titular DCP Bajirao Singham, with Ranveer and Deepika playing the role of ACP Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao and SP Shakti Shetty.
