23 Sep - Although there is still two more months before "Gladiator II" is released, Ridley Scott admitted that he already has an idea for a third movie.

The filmmaker, who took 20 years to direct the sequel to his hit 2000 film, stated that he would rather do the third film instead of working on a different project, adding that he has already has a plot in his mind.

Scott also added that the third film will take inspiration from Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather II".

Connie Nielsen returns in the sequel but not Russell Crowe

The sequel will be released on 15 November, 24 years since the first film, which starred Russell Crowe in the lead.

The upcoming movie sees the return of Connie Nielsen as Lucilla, but will focus on the character of Lucilla's son Lucius, played by Paul Mescal.

Other stars include Joseph Quinn, Pedro Pascal and Spencer Treat Clark.
