28 Feb – Rumour has it that Ryan Gosling will be performing his "Barbie" song, "I'm Just Ken" at the upcoming 2024 Academy Awards. A source revealed that the actor, who played Ken in the Greta Gerwig movie, is scheduled to perform the musical number, which was co-written by the great Mark Ronson.
It is noted that Ronson previously expressed interest in seeing the song being performed live on stage at the Oscars, saying, "The song having its big Oscars moment has always just been the dream since sort of that first day in the studio, but all that stuff still seems like a while away."
"I'm Just Ken" is also nominated in the Best Original Song at the Oscars, competing against fellow "Barbie" nominee, Billie Eilish ("What Was I Made For?"), as well as "The Fire Inside" (Flamin' Hot), "It Never Went Away" (American Symphony) and "Wahzhazhe A Song For My People" (Killers of the Flower Moon). The song previously won several accolades, including Best Song at the Critics Choice Awards.
