6 Jun - Sathyaraj is quelling once and for all the long-standing rumour of rift with Rajinikanth by joining the superstar in his upcoming new movie, "Coolie".

The veteran actor confirmed his involvement in the Lokesh Kanagaraj film at the promotional event of the movie, "Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan" on 5 June, saying that the producers will be announcing his role in the movie soon.

However, he is keeping mum about the details of his role in the project.

"Coolie" is the first collab between Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj
It is noted that rumours of rift plagued the two stars after they stopped working together in the '90s following their collaboration on "Mr. Bharath". The feud rumours were then further fuelled by him declining a role in Rajinikanth's "Sivaji" and "Enthiran".

Speaking about the rumoured rift, Sathyaraj said, "After I started playing a hero, I was approached for two Rajinikanth films. The first one was Sivaji and the other was Enthiran. I was approached to play the role of Danny Denzongpa. I wasn't satisfied with both roles. Otherwise, what problems do we have?"
