18 Sep - Rapper-mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has now been arrested by the FBI following his grand jury indictment.

The rapper was revealed to have been taken to the FBI offices after being detained in the lobby of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan, though they made no confirmation as to whether he has been taken into custody.

While the U.S. Attorney's office for Southern New York is mum on the charges, it is noted that Combs had been in hot water as early as November last year, when former girlfriend and singer Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit alleging that he was abusive to her throughout their relationship.

Though the case was settled out of court, Combs was later accused by several other plaintiffs including former model Crystal McKinney as well as girl group Danity Kane's Dawn Richard, followed by another lawsuit by producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones that Combs forced him to engage in relations with sex workers he hired and hosted "sex-trafficking parties" with underage women and illegal drugs.

In response to the arrest, Combs' lawyer Marc Agnifilo stated, "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he Is not a criminal."
