13 May - Sigourney Weaver is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming Star Wars movie, "The Mandalorian & Grogu".

The actress, known for her many badass movies and a staple in the sci-fi genre, may be making her galaxy far far away debut with the movie, which will be the first Star Wars movie since 2019's "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker".

To be helmed by Jon Favreau of "Iron Man" fame, the film is expected to begin shooting later this year and will have Pedro Pascal reprising his role as Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian.

The third season of the original Disney+ show concluded last year, spawning spinoffs like "The Book of Boba Fett" and "Ahsoka".

Weaver, who was last seen on "Avatar: The Way of Water", is currently filming "The Gorge" and "Dust Bunny", aside from the upcoming "Avatar 3" and "Avatar 4".
