26 Apr - Sony Pictures is now closing a deal with Hasbro Entertainment to develop their classic murder mystery board game, "Clue" (also known as "Cluedo" in other countries) to the big screen.

The news was confirmed by Hasbro film boss Zev Foreman and TV head Gabriel Marano, who said, "Sony is the perfect partner to adapt a property as culturally impactful and mystery-defining as Clue."

"Nicole Brown, Katherine Pope, and their teams are tremendous creative collaborators and ideal partners to help us figure out after 75 years if it was Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the candlestick," he added.

The board game, in which players have to figure out who is responsible for a murder as well as the location and the weapon, was previously adapted into a 1985 comedy movie starring Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn.

It is noted that "Clue" is not the only Hasbro product in development this year. The company is also working on making a Monopoly movie to be produced by Margot Robbie's company, LuckyChap.

Last year, it made USD 200 million for the adaptation of "Dungeons & Dragons".
