Syamsul Yusof reunites with family following divorce

12 Sep- Two years after he distanced himself from his parents, it was revealed that filmmaker Syamsul Yusof is finally reunited with dad Datuk Yusof Haslam and mum Datin Patimah Ismail.

The reunion was revealed by Datin Patimah via Instagram Story on 11 September, in which she posted a photo of the three of them together with the Sabyan song "Syukran Lillah" playing in the background.

Another photo showed the three of them accompanied by ex-daughter-in-law Puteri Sarah Liyana and the former couple's daughter Sumayah.

When asked about it, Datin Patimah responded, "Praise be to God. May Allah ease everything."

As for Datuk Yusof, the producer said, "Praise be to Allah, Syamsul has returned to his family. We had dinner last night. Syafiq was also there to receive his brother. This is what my wife and I have been praying for."

Syamsul became estranged to his family following his second marriage to Ira Kazar and subsequent divorce from Puteri Sarah Liyana. The director divorced Ira early this month after 21 months of marriage.
