27 Aug - The highly-anticipated film, "Takluk: Lahad Datu" has successfully made RM 8.5 million at the box office.

The news was shared by lead actor Syafiq Kyle, who posted, "Thank you, Malaysia. TAKLUK: LAHAD DATU in theatres now!".

The latest collection was made after only one day of release plus advanced screening.

The film is based on the true story of the 2013 Lahad Datu incursion, whereby 235 militants arrived in the Sabah administrative district, proclaiming to be the Royal Security Forces of the Sultanate of Sulu and North sent by a claimant of the Sultanate of Sulu.

Written by Zulkarnain Azhar and Peter Toyat, the film stars Eman Manan, Syafiq Kyle, Kamal Adli, Fikry Ibrahim, Anding Indrawani Zaini, and Josiah Hogan among others.
