15 Feb – Despite the movie's failure at the box office last year, "Vik2ria Secret" producer Richard Ung said that he will not quit on filmmaking business.

Ung, the owner of Sheunik Sdn. Bhd, stated that he considers profit and loss as part and parcel in doing business and that those are the risks one has to bear in being involved in the film industry.

"I believe the film has appeal because it is AR Badul's 'comeback' project and he has given his best effort," he said.

As to why the movie only made RM 5,058.90 at the box office, Ung said that he made a mistake of choosing the same date as the juggernaut franchise, "Polis Evo", which released its third film three weeks prior to "Vik2ria Secret".

"I don't want to wait for another date because I've already applied for DCD funding. If I don't get a later date, I can't 'claim' with FINAS. At the same time, Vik2ria Secret has been completed for a long time and I didn't want to wait any longer," he said.

DCD in this sense is Digital Content Fund granted by the government through FINAS.
