11 Mar - Ahmad Idham recently revealed that RM200,000 has been forked out just for the sake of filming a scene for his new movie, "Impak Maksima 2".

The filmmaker, who spoke about the upcoming movie, shared that his adamant to not use CGI for a crash and burn scene to make it look real had cost the production that amount of money.

"The scene where a drift car crashed into a lorry and burst into flames took two days to complete and cost us around RM200,000. This is because the car itself cost RM50,000, not including the lorry, the stunt actor fees, and the security personnel, which are all required to produce that scene," he said.

Idham also stated that the team was willing to produce that amount of cost just for a one-minute scene so that they can attract audiences to watch the movie.

At the same time, the filmmaker said that he is using a new approach of showing the behind-the-scene work on live so that people can see it for themselves.

"Social media is a medium that has a wide coverage, so we use it to share the behind-the-scene goings on. The movie hasn't even been released yet, but the BTS of the car in flames at Jalan Bukit Bintang has already gone viral, reaching almost nine million views on TikTok," he said.

The upcoming movie stars Zul Huzaimy, Eizlan Yusof, Dynas Mokhtar, Arfie Shah, Nelissa Nizam, Muhsin Nadzli and Fad Bocey and is scheduled for release sometime this year.
