Florence Pugh is Debbie Harry's pick for biopic role

21 Oct - Debbie Harry already has the best actress in mind to portray her if there is ever a biopic about herself, and that would be British actress, Florence Pugh.

The Blondie vocalist, who was asked about her dream casting if she is to make a movie about her life and musical legacy, said, "If it were somebody like Florence Pugh, I would be in heaven. I just think she's a great actor and she could do anything."

It is noted that Pugh previously has expressed her interest to play Debbie Harry in an old interview, saying that Debbie Harry is just "so cool."

Pugh herself is a good singer, having performed cover songs under the name Flossie Rose as a teenager on YouTube. She has also written and performed the songs "The Best Part" and "I Hate Myself" for her 2023 movie "A Good Person".

Debbie Harry released her memoir "Face It" back in 2019, in which she revealed how she became a global superstar, overcame her drug addiction, bankruptcy and her band's breakup.
