4 Jun – Following its phenomenal box office performance, it was reported that "Ejen Ali The Movie 2" (EATM2), produced by Wau Animation in collaboration with Primeworks Studios (PWS), will be screened in several Southeast Asian countries. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WAU Animation and director of EATM2, Usamah Zaid Yasin said that in addition to Brunei, where the movie premiered simultaneously with Malaysia, the popular spy character film will also be released in Singapore, Indonesia, and Cambodia, further solidifying the appeal of Malaysia's most iconic animated spy character. "We'll be announcing the Singapore release of EATM2 soon. We've already teased the screening on social media," he said, adding that he is confident that Media Prima Berhad (MPB), which is involved in promoting and negotiating overseas releases of EATM2, will successfully carry out the task.

"MPB has a solid track record in film distribution and promotion. While we don't expect the same level of reception in every market, there's a strong commitment from all parties to bring EATM2 to as many audiences as possible," he said. "We'll soon announce the release date for Indonesia, and plans are in place to bring EATM2 to Cambodia." The movie has already received an overwhelming response from audiences across the country, earning RM34.2 million in just 11 days. EATM2 follows Ali, who is selected as a pioneer for a high-risk mission under SATRIA, an elite programme that utilises high-tech suits supported by artificial intelligence (AI).
