20 May - Ejen Ali is back with a mission bigger than ever! Marking a significant milestone in Malaysian animation, "Ejen Ali The Movie 2" premiered last night at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya to enthusiastic audiences. The long-awaited film brings Malaysia's beloved junior spy to life in a stunning 3D animated adventure suitable for all ages.

Set for nationwide release on 22 May, the sequel promises more explosive action and an immersive narrative experience. Since debuting on TV3 in 2016, Ejen Ali has expanded to over 65 countries, with its 2019 predecessor earning more than RM30 million across cinemas and digital platforms. Enhanced with cutting-edge technology, EATM2 cements Ejen Ali's position as a regional animation leader.


In the futuristic city of Cyberaya, the story follows Ali, an ordinary boy recruited into the covert spy agency MATA. Selected as the pilot for SATRIA, an elite program with an AI-assisted mecha suit, Ali joins Rizwan to uncover the mastermind behind escalating threats. Meanwhile, the mysterious hacker Neonimus returns with a personal vendetta against Ali. Every decision Ali makes will determine not just his fate but the future of the entire city.

Pn. Nini Yusof, CEO of Media Prima Television Networks & Primeworks Studios, noted, "We're proud to see Ejen Ali reach this milestone. This franchise has become a testament to Malaysian creativity and storytelling."


En. Usamah Zaid Yasin, Director and CEO of WAU Animation, added, "Fans have waited since before the pandemic, and their continued support means everything to us."

The film features a powerful soundtrack including songs by Dato' M. Nasir, Indonesian band Nidji and Hael Husaini. At the Gardenia-sponsored premiere, attendees enjoyed a surprise villain ambush, energetic dance performances, and a flash mob performance of the viral hit Mamak Maju from the first film.

Special fan screenings at nine GSC locations sold out quickly, with early ticket sales now available at over 70 cinemas. Limited-edition merchandise is also available, including SATRIA and Ali figurines, an upgraded interactive IRIS device, and a collectible popcorn bucket.
