23 May - Lady Gaga is now joining the ranks of artistes like Adele, Cynthia Erivo and Kate Winslet who are close to becoming an EGOT, after receiving her first Emmy via the 2025 Sports Emmys.

The singer recently won the accolade for Outstanding Music Direction for "Hold My Hand", which she performed during the Super Bowl LIX pre-game, besting other contenders that include The Lionheart and The Turnaround.

It is noted that Lady Gaga already won an Oscar for her song "Shallow" in the Best Original Song category back in 2019 for her movie, "A Star is Born". She is also the winner of 14 Grammy awards.

The singer now only needs a Tony Award to finally complete her EGOT.

This has been a great year for Lady Gaga, who released her seventh studio album "Mayhem" back in February. She also kicked off her world tour to promote the album and headlined Coachella earlier this month.
