25 Sep - Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has officially reopened its doors to unveil the refreshed GSC 1 Utama, with a total 13 halls and capacity of 1,595 seats. The newly reopened GSC 1 Utama encompasses all-new hall formats including GSC Hong Leong Bank BIG Hall, GSC Hong Leong Bank Prestige Hall, and GSC PlayPark, on top of its refurbished ScreenX and 4DX halls.

For those seeking an elevated movie night, the all-new GSC Hong Leong Bank Prestige Hall provides premium comfort and exclusivity with 30 cozy recliner seats complete with USB charging ports, access to a dedicated private lounge and complimentary regular popcorn combo.

Movie-goers can scan a QR code to order additional light bites from savoury snacks to sweet treats and drinks by Happy Food Co, served directly to your seat. The experience features immersive Dolby sound technology and cutting-edge laser projection that brings visuals to life with breathtaking clarity.


Marking GSC's 9th Hong Leong Bank BIG Hall at GSC 1 Utama, this hall features plush recliner seats with USB charging ports and a total seating capacity of 173 seats. Perfect for action movie enthusiasts, it boasts state of the art 4K projectors for crystal-clear visuals and Dolby Atmos surround sound.

For parents with little ones, GSC PlayPark combines a family-friendly movie experience with fun-filled play time at the adjoining play area, featuring convenient facilities such a nursing room, diaper changing room and a kid-friendly toilet. GSC PlayPark's cinema hall, comprising of 176 seats, facilities and adjoining play area are yet to open in due time.

GSC 1 Utama is home to 4DX and ScreenX halls, bringing movies to life through movement and scents, and 270 degrees panoramic views respectively.

As part of GSC's ongoing partnership with Hong Leong Bank, eligible GSC HLB Gold or Platinum Credit Cardholders can enjoy RM6 off per movie ticket purchased online, along with 30% savings off concessions when ordering through the GSC website or app.

Cardholders can also get one complimentary regular popcorn when they spend RM50 per receipt with HLB cards at any GSC Play Hall. HLB's Frenzy Friday promotion allows customers to enjoy 50% cashback on a minimum spend of RM80 every Friday when dining at 1 Utama Shopping Mall.
