Action sequel "Impak Maksima 2" to hit cinemas following successful partnership agreement

26 Jun - Cinema chain operator 10Star Cinemas has been announced as the official distributor of the action film "Impak Maksima 2", directed by Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri.

The distribution agreement signing ceremony took place in Papar, Sabah last April.

Chief Executive Officer of 10Star Cinemas, Onn Norshal Hamzah, said his company is consistent in supporting and developing local productions as the domestic film industry continues to grow.

"We at 10Star Cinemas are creating a new culture. We see many local films that are well received and audience trust in local films is increasing. We chose 'Impak Maksima 2' because the previous film received an encouraging response when it was released in 2007," he said via Harian Metro.

The CEO added that 10Star Cinemas will also allocate a special hall for screening local films exclusively at their new cinema in Hextar World Empire City shopping mall.

"Impak Maksima 2" has already generated significant buzz, with behind-the-scenes footage reaching over 10 million views.

Production company Screen Studio Sdn Bhd invested RM200,000 to create the film's dramatic drift action sequences in the capital city.

Featuring Zul Huzaimy, Eizlan Yusof, Dynas Mokhtar, Arfie Shah, Nelissa Nizam, Muhsin Nadzli, Fad Bocey and others, "Impak Maksima 2" will be released screened in cinemas nationwide starting 17 July.
