12 Sep - James Gunn recently announced that the Superman follow-up movie, "Man of Tomorrow" is set to begin production in April next year.

The filmmaker, who previously stressed that the movie is not a sequel, revealed to Howard Stern that the film will be a story about Lex Luthor and Superman "having to work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat."

"It's more complicated than that. It's as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie," he said.

The statement came after Gunn teased fans with a Jim Lee drawing of Superman and Lex Luthor in his mech suit, that he captioned, "Man of Tomorrow. In theatres July 9, 2027."

Gunn started on the follow up following the success of "Superman", starring David Corenswet, which made USD 614 million at the box office.

The next DC serving would be "Supergirl", which stars Milly Alcock as the titular character. The movie will be released in June 2026.
