18 Jul – After receiving much love and support for "Superman" and sharing a little bit of what is to come next for Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin, Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl, James Gunn decided to tease fans on social media with a new image of the her. On 16 July, the filmmaker and DC Studios co-head posted an image of Milly Alcock's Supergirl. Standing next to a wall with the Super logo and the famous Superman word "Look Up" that has been graffitied to say "Look Out", Supergirl can be seen having a sip of a blue drink with not a care in the world. "Look Out. 2026," the caption read.
The simple post had since garnered nearly 700,000 likes, with Supergirl fans expressing excitement over the upcoming film. One netizen posted, "This Supergirl is gonna be different from the others... she's troubled." "I'M LOOKING OUT FOR SUPERGIRL TRUST ME!!" said another. Gunn previously revealed that his version of "Supergirl" will be based on the hit title, "Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow". In January last year, DC Studios announced that "House of the Dragon" star Milly Alcock will be playing the female superhero.
