16 Apr - Johnny Depp is making his Hollywood return with the new Lionsgate film, "Day Drinker".

In a first-look photo shared by the studio, the actor can be seen opting out of his usually trimmed moustache for a more bearded look and grey-white hair for his character as the mysterious Kelly.

The movie marks his comeback since he was axed from the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise over allegations of abuse by ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp won his lawsuit against Heard soon after, but expressed his weariness by saying that he has no further need for Hollywood.

While he has appeared in films like "Jeanne du Barry" and "Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness" (which he directed himself), the films were made with European backing.

The film stars Depp as a mysterious guest of a private yacht who finds himself, alongside a bartender (Madelyn Cline), getting entangled with a criminal figure (Penelope Cruz).

Cruz and Depp previously worked together in "Blow", "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "Murder on the Orient Express".
