Sam CS scores Aaron Aziz-starrer "Banduan"

30 Oct - It was revealed that the Malaysian movie "Banduan" has not only adapted the story from "Kaithi," but also hired the same music composer to work on the movie's score.

Music producer Sam CS recently shared the news on social media that he was hired to do the music for the Aaron Aziz-starrer as well, writing on Instagram, "Thrilled to complete the Background Score for Kaithi Remake - BANDUAN. Raw emotions. Relentless tension. Music straight from the pulse of the story."

"Excited for you all to experience it soon," he added.

The original movie stars Karthi in the lead

The original movie, starring Karthi in the lead and helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set in one night, when a recently released prisoner drives poisoned policemen to a hospital while evading criminals, in exchange for meeting his daughter who was waiting at an orphanage.

The movie was the first film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe that then continued with "Vikram" and "Leo".

Meanwhile, the Malaysian version, which co-stars Rosyam Nor, Afdin Shauki, and Fadhli Masoot, is set to be released on 6 November.
