5 Aug - As rumours continue to swirl regarding a budding romance between Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, sources are saying that the two are actually getting to know each other.

A Canadian insider recently shared with People.com that the two of them are interested in one another, but that it will take some time for them to actually see where the connection goes.

"She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common," said the source.

As to what common interests they have, the source said that both have interest in music and added, "Both are idealists and still live in a world where they think they can make improvements, although it has gotten more difficult."

It is noted that both parties are now single. Katy recently ended her long-engagement with actor Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau has been divorced from wife Sophie Gregoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.

The two were recently spotted out and about walking a dog and enjoying a meal in Montreal. Trudeau was also spotted attending Katy's concert, with netizens sharing photos and videos of him singing along to "Firework".
