The Ketamine Queen followed the decision made by four other defendants, who have plead guilty to Perry's demise. Prior to Sangha, Perry's doctor Salvador Plasencia pleaded guilty for supplying him with ketamine, though not with the fatal dose.

Meanwhile, Erik Fleming, Kenneth Iwamasa and Mark Chavez have previously agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to supply ketamine, with Iwamasa, who was Perry's assistant at the time, injected Perry with ketamine that caused his death.

It was also revealed that Sangha also admitted to supplying ketamine to Cody McLaury in August 2019, who died of an overdose hours after receiving it from Sangha.

Matthew Perry died on 28 October 2023 from the acute effects of ketamine. The actor was found unresponsive after drowning in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home. The beloved "Friends" star was 54.
