16 Jun - It was revealed that Lewis Pullman is set to star in the upcoming "Spaceballs" sequel with father and original star, Bill Pullman.

The elder Pullman played the role of Lone Starr in the Mel Brooks-helmed film in 1987. The character itself is Han Solo-inspired as the film parodied many of the space-related films of the time, including "Star Wars".

Lewis reportedly will play the role of a character named Starburst, who is the son of Lone Starr with Queen Vespa (Daphne Zuniga). The film also sees the return of Rick Moranis as Lord Dark Helmet and Mel Brooks as Yogurt.

The upcoming film is directed by Josh Greenbaum from a script by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez and Josh Gad. Gad is also starring in the movie with franchise newcomer Keke Palmer.

The original space parody stars Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, a mercenary who rescues Princess Vespa from being captured by the Spaceballs who wants to use Vespa as ransom to obtain Druidia's air for their own planet.

The movie made USD 40.3 million when it was released in cinemas in 1987.
