26 May - As the highly-anticipated "Avengers: Doomsday" movie began production, it was revealed that the release date has now been moved from its original plan.

The film, which was scheduled for 1 May 2026 release, will now be released on 18 December 2026, while the following title, "Avengers: Secret Wars" will now open on 17 December 2027 instead of 7 May 2027.

The said "Doomsday" slot will now be occupied by "The Devil Wears Prada 2".

Marvel's latest Avengers installment brings together a compelling mix of familiar faces and fresh talent, including characters from the upcoming "Thunderbolts" film. The casting announcement in late March revealed an intriguing ensemble that promises to blend established Avengers favorites with new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Prior to that, Marvel announced that "Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. will return to the Marvel universe in an unexpected role - not as the beloved Tony Stark, but as the formidable Doctor Doom.
