1 Jul - Three years after the first movie was released in theatres, director Matt Reeves revealed that he has finally completed writing the script for "The Batman 2".

The filmmaker shared the good news via Instagram with his writing partner, Mattson Tomlin on 28 June, with a photo of the two of them sitting together and looking at a script that has the Batman logo on it.

The title, which was blurred, seemed to read, "The Batman: Part II" while the post was captioned, "Partners in Crime (Fighters)."

The sequel to the Robert Pattinson-starrer was first announced in April 2022, a month after it was released in theatres.

Co-starring Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon and Colin Farrell as The Penguin, the movie made USD 772.3 million at the box office.

Prior to this particular news, DC Studios' James Gunn told fans online that they were expecting the script in June.

"People should get off Matt's nuts because it's like, let the guy write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it. That's just the way it is. He doesn't owe you something because you like his movie. I mean, you like his movie because of Matt. So let Matt do things the way he does," he said.
