9 Oct - Matt Dillon was revealed to have been cast in the Amazon MGM Studios' "I Play Rocky", which will be helmed by Peter Farrelly.

The actor is set to play the role of Frank Stallone Sr., the father of Sylvester Stallone in the movie, which has earlier cast Anthony Ippolito to portray the young Sly.

In a previous documentary on Stallone, the actor described his father as a "real-life Rambo", a hardworking charismatic man who was also physically and emotionally abusive.

"Nothing was ever settled verbally," he stated.

"I Play Rocky" revolves around Stallone during his early days of acting, as he goes from studio to studio trying to make his story "Rocky" into a movie with him as the star.

Aside from Dillon and Ippolito, the movie will also star Stephan James as Carl Weathers, and AnnaSophia Robb as Sylvester Stallone's first wife, Sasha Czack.

"I Play Rocky" tells the story of Stallone's journey in catapulting "Rocky" and himself into stardom
