NYT first reported the cause of death on 5 August after obtaining Osbourne's death certificate, stating that he died of cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction.
The Black Sabbath frontman passed away just weeks after he and his heavy metal band performed in his hometown in Birmingham as part of the "Back to the Beginning" farewell show. The singer performed a number of classics like "Crazy Train," "Mama, I'm Coming Home" solo, and "War Pigs," "Iron Man" and "Paranoid". He was 76.
