What a phenomenon!

30 Dec - Animation continues to reign in local theatres, as it was revealed that "Papa Zola the Movie" has now made an impressive box office collection of RM 43 million.

Sharing the news on social media on 29 December, the "Papa Zola" official social media account posted, "Thank you so much to the over 2.5 million Malaysians who have supported justice!"

Nizam Abd Razak, the director and writer of "Papa Zola the Movie" and CEO of MONSTA, expressed, "With the school holidays in full swing, 'Papa Zola The Movie' has become a space for families to gather and create memories together. What truly touches our hearts is seeing the film watched not only by parents and their children, but also by those who bring along their mothers, fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers to the cinema."

"These community initiatives that help more multi-generational families enjoy the film resonate deeply with the values we strive to convey through Papa Zola The Movie," he added.

The story follows Papa Zola, a father who works hard to support his small family. Unexpectedly, he reunites with an old friend who once served alongside him in the secret organisation P.A.P.A (Protect and Prevent Agency). The situation becomes critical when his daughter, Pipi, is abducted by aliens. Papa Zola and Mama Zila must act quickly to rescue Pipi and protect the world from the looming threat.

The film is currently showing in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, and will be going international in 2026 with releases in Indonesia, India, Vietnam, as well as the Middle East.
