11 Jun - Yash Raj Films has recently dismissed rumours that the highly-anticipated Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan team-up "Tiger vs Pathaan" has been shelved. It was reported that producer Aditya Chopra is actually putting the project on hold so that he can work with different directors and experiment with ideas that will help the YRF spy universe produce better stories. "Aditya believes the spy universe films are veering towards repetition and needs a revitalised approach to storytelling and presentation. So he is re-evaluating the roadmap and making significant changes to future plans," a source said.
It is noted that YRF currently has two new movies to be released soon, the Hrithik Roshan-starrer "War 2" and Alia Bhatt's "Alpha". The two movies will be released in August and December this year, respectively. It was also reported that the producer is also closely involved in the making of "Dhoom 4", with the source saying, "The new 'Dhoom' film is being designed keeping global action standards in mind, and the visual palette, as also storytelling, will be very different from the already established YRF spy universe."
It was back in 2021 that Salman confirmed rumours that he and Shah Rukh will be collaborating in a new movie. In April 2023, the film "Tiger vs Pathaan" was announced following the success of the SRK comeback vehicle, "Pathaan".
