Historical footage of the Thomas Cup victory was screened at the event, allowing guests to relive the defining moments that brought Malaysians together. The involvement of former national players as advisors ensures a more authentic and emotionally impactful portrayal.

Director Lenny Ooi, whose production house Victory Pictures is producing the film, shared: "This film is more than a creative project - it is a piece of national heritage that deserves to be remembered. The Thomas Cup taught us that success is not only about winning or losing - it is about spirit. That is the essence of this movie, 'Sentuhan Wira'."

The ceremony also included a symbolic script handover from the directing team, signalling that production is now entering its final pre-production stage. Main sponsors Mah Sing and venue sponsor M Resort Hotel received tokens of appreciation for their support.

The production team hopes the film will help younger generations learn about the nation's history while encouraging resilience, ambition, and the courage to dream, rebuilding a sense of pride as Malaysians.

"Sentuhan Wira" is expected to begin full-scale filming in early 2026, followed by a nationwide theatrical release.
