"Superman" flies high as it crosses USD 400 million mark

22 Jul - "Superman" continues to hold on to its throne as the number one movie at the box office in its second weekend since its release on 11 July.

The David Corenswet-starrer has added another USD 57.2 million in the US and USD 45.2 million overseas, bringing a total of USD 406.8 million globally.

This means that the film has already surpassed Marvel's "Thunderbolts", which only made USD 383 million overall earlier this year, and will soon overtake "Captain America: Brave New World", which grossed USD 415 million at the box office.

"Superman" will be facing a tough competition soon, as Marvel's "Fantastic Four: First Steps" will be released on the 24th.

On the other hand, "Jurassic World Rebirth" has now crossed USD 600 million globally in its third week, amassing a total of USD 647 million worldwide.
