26 Aug - "Superman" has now crossed the USD 600 million mark, making it the first superhero movie to do so in the year that hasn't been kind to superhero flicks.

The James Gunn-helmed DC Universe film made USD 604.5 million in its seventh week, with USD 347 million of it from the US and USD 257.5 million internationally.

The box office takings of this year's superhero movies had been lacklustre, with "Thunderbolts*" making USD 382.4 million on a USD 180 million budget, while "Captain America: Brave New World" grossed USD 415.1 million.

"The Fantastic Four" is crossing USD 500 million soon
Marvel had expected "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" to do well at the box office, but the film still has a long way to go after having only made USD 490.1 million in its fifth weekend. It has done better than the two previous Marvel titles, but still couldn't achieve the success of its billion-dollar predecessor, "Spider-Man: No Way Home".

On the other hand, another movie to have crossed USD 600 million is "F1", which has reached USD 603.4 million. Unlike "Superman", the movie gets 69 percent of its ticket sales from the international audience.
