3 Feb - After causing fans to speculate whether or not he will finally be a part of "The Matrix" universe following his previous cryptic post early in January, Will Smith finally revealed that...

...no, he is not starring in the new "Matrix" movie.

Instead, on 30 January, the actor and rapper released a music video inspired by the movie franchise. So, Will Smith has finally entered The Matrix - sort of.

Rather than starring in a new Matrix instalment, Will dropped a music video for "Beautiful Scars," a collaboration with Big Sean featuring OBanga, seemingly making fun of himself for rejecting the movie when it was offered to him in order to do "Wild Wild West" that ultimately failed at the box office.

The music video even had Will recreating iconic scenes from the Keanu Reeves classic, including the legendary Bullet Time sequence. The character Neo had since become synonymous with Keanu.

"After we made Men in Black, the Wachowskis came in and they'd only done one movie. They did a movie called Bound. And then they made a pitch for The Matrix. And as it turns out, they're geniuses, but there's a fine line in a pitch meeting between genius and what I experienced in the meeting," he said, enacting the meeting where he admitted to be confused by the whole storyline.

While fans might never see Will as Neo proper, they can now watch him live out his Matrix fantasies in musical form. The actor reported having a blast during the shoot, suggesting that sometimes the best way to handle regret is to turn it into art - and maybe dodge a few virtual bullets along the way.
