It's where the Superman journey began for Henry Cavill

29 Dec - Zack Snyder had a great Christmas gift for all his fanboys and fangirls, and that is by sharing a never-before-seen photo of their favourite Man of Steel in the original Superman suit.

On 25 December, the filmmaker shared a photo of Henry Cavill in the red and blue suit made famous by Christopher Reeves, and wrote, "Henry Cavill. The original Superman suit. This photo. It was undeniable."

In another photo, which showed Cavill staring into the distance while his cape billowing behind him, Snyder wrote, "With the last image I shared, and this one we showed WB everyone agreed: Henry Cavill was Superman. That's where the journey began."

The posts seemed to have brought joy to the fans of the Snyderverse, with many saying that they would like to see Cavill playing Superman again.

It is noted that Cavill portrayed the superhero in three DCEU movies, beginning with "Man of Steel," followed by "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League".

He also popped up in the post-credits' scene of 2022's "Black Adam," with Dwayne Johnson making a rash decision in announcing that there will be a new Superman movie. It is noted that at the same time the announcement was made, DC was undergoing a change at the time, with James Gunn and Peter Safran coming in with their own new DC Universe.
