8 Sep - Silambarasan recently revealed that his new movie, "Arasan" will not be released during Pongal, as previously reported.

The actor, who spoke to the crowd at a recent event, said that he knows that people expect the movie to come out on Pongal next year, but that the team would rather maintain quality than speed up the shoot and work towards a festive release.

"That would be a major mistake. Therefore, we have decided to take time and shoot the film properly," he said.

Silambarasan also added that the additional time would help the team to present a film that everybody would be proud of and that the movie will have a stronger impact when it finally comes out.

Meanwhile, the actor revealed that a special video titled "The World of Arasan" will be released in theatres on Diwali, in which the team offers a closer look at director Vetrimaaran's work.
